Events, Workshops & Groups
We run regular workshops, events and groups for adults, young people and children. They all have a therapeutic element and are often running because we have noticed a need for the group or event to be running. If you would like to run an event with us, for our team or for people in our Gloucestershire community, please get in touch.
Therapist Day
Are you someone who is supporting others in your role? a therapist, counsellor, social worker, or carer? We enjoy putting on these relaxing days to support you to take time out to unwind and have the opportunity to socialise with other people. We like to add a creative element to the day, some time to chat and time to chill with a wonderful sound bath! Next day is 24th November 2024 10.30 - 4.30pm
Lego 1-1 sessions
1-1 Therapeutic Lego Sessions are a therapy intervention, where there is building and talking happening together. For some, having the distraction of something like Lego and bricks can help them access thoughts, emotions and feelings whilst being occupied with the building and creating experience. These sessions are with a Qualified Counsellor or a Creative Mentor, depending upon the individuals needs.
Meno Chats
Our monthly menopause group formed this year after getting many requests for support from women who dealing with symptoms of becoming perimenopausal, or going through the menopause. This is a group space, it is relaxed, no format, just people coming together and chatting about an experience they have in common. One of the benefits has been people sharing what has helped them, and for others it has been knowing they are not alone, and for some it has been the social element that has felt important.
Parents/partner group
Are you a carer, parent or partner of someone who is questioning their gender, or are managing the process of gender transitioning? This group meets fortnightly, either face to face or an online option is available. The group is based around connection and sharing experiences to benefit each other, and the people they care for.
Transgender Support group
This is a relaxed support group, connecting trans people together on a fortnightly basis. The aim of the group is to combine a therapeutic environment with affirming support. It doesn't matter what stage someone is at to attend, whether that be stages of questioning, or if you are a while into the transitioning process People have said how the group reminds them that they are not alone, and that it is totally ok to be themselves. This group is running in Cheltenham Town Centre, please enquire for more information.
Sound Bath Meditations
Sound baths are performed by a qualified sound therapist, using sacred instruments like the gong, crystal and Tibetan bowls and chimes. Each instrument is attuned, and chosen to support the body to relax and unwind. This is a great way to aid better sleep, reduce stress levels and help stuck emotions to re-surface. These sessions can be 1-1 or in groups, they are especially good for people who have a busy life and need the scheduled time to fit in some self care and mind space or for people suffering from long term pain and/or discomfort.
Create & Chat Support Group
